Philo Tran

Philo is a Managing Director at Clearsight Advisors. Prior to joining Clearsight, Philo was a Principal at the GEF Management, a $1 billion private equity firm based in the Washington D.C. area. At GEF, he focused on making minority and majority investments in growing companies in technology and industrial services industries. Before joining GEF, Philo worked as an investment banker at Wells Fargo Securities and Updata Capital covering clients in the business and technology services sectors. His deal experience includes executing sell-side, buy-side and private placement transactions and has raised over $1 billion of capital in various forms of equity and debt financings.

With two active and vocal kids, life never stays still for Philo. He loves the hot and humid Washington D.C. summers and enjoys every opportunity to take his family to the beach.

Philo graduated with a BBA in Accounting from the College of William and Mary and earned his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
