Abhijit Pandit

Abhijit Pandit holds the dual role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Data Officer (CDO) at Oregon Health & Science University where he has worked since 2009. At OHSU, Abhijit leads two divisions, the Technical Infrastructure Design and Engineering (TIDE) team and the Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics (BIAA) team. While, TIDE’s mission is to provide an infrastructure that is a competitive advantage for OHSU, BIAA’s mission is to establish data as strategic asset at OHSU. Together, these two divisions total almost 200 full-time employees.

Over the course of his career, Abhijit has worked for a wide range of companies like Nike, OHSU, PacifiCorp, Kellogg’s Keebler, Dr. Pepper Seven Up, Cadbury Schweppes (U.K.) and NASA. Abhijit has managed, designed, analyzed, and implemented several large IT programs and projects, such as a Population Health solution called Healthy Planet, Meaningful Use Stage 1 and Stage 2, Employee Productivity to name a few. He has developed IT roadmaps and strategies, defined IT funding models, while leading and mentoring large teams (both nationally and internationally in Europe and Asia).

Additionally Abhijit currently teaches at OHSU, having previously served as a faculty member at University of Oregon , Oregon Tech and University of Phoenix. On the education front, Abhijit has a Computer Engineering degree from Pune University, India, a Masters in Computer Science from IIT Chicago, and a MBA from the University of Washington. In his spare time he enjoys travelling the world, trying different cuisines and the occasional round of golf.
